LOGLINE:

A pizza delivery driver at the end of his rope overcomes his temptation to quit when he is faced with a morally compromising, yet life-changing proposition from a wealthy regular.

Synopsis

“Large Pepperoni” is a dark comedy about Pete, a burned-out pizza delivery driver who is tired of barely scraping by. When the Carlyles, a wealthy elderly couple, offer him a bizarre, morally questionable favor in exchange for financial stability, Pete must decide how far he's willing to go to change his circumstances. What follows is an satirical negotiation of power and agency.

Director’s Statement

“With my script, “Large Pepperoni”, I employ a bleak, unsettling set-up to satirize economic desperation, and the commodification of morality. I tell this story through a struggling pizza delivery driver and a pair of wealthy regulars who propose an unconventional, morally questionable favor from the driver. At its core, my script acts as a metaphor for the older generation “screwing over” the younger generation, although I search for humor in the shifting power dynamic. Rather than being a victim, Pete willingly plays the game and walks out on top.”
